Because of SIP’s light weight construction, the pressure laid onto foundations of the house is reduced. When projecting and constructing a building made out of SIPs, it is advantageous to use minor deepening, which then permits to significantly reduce the use of materials and labour costs. Foundation like that is safe and economically justified.

Mounting Launch

Mounting with SIP technology can be done in any time of the year. The mass of SIPs is small, which allows only two workers to carry and mount them without special effort. Connecting beam, which is treated with antiseptic, gets placed and strengthened on a ready foundation. The mount of the beam is secured with anchor bolts through the waterproofing material; the procedure is carried out with a use of a movable template. If the house is built on grounds with high level of moisture, the covering panels get mounted on to the bearing beam, which then forms a levelled and secure shield. The bottom part of the panel gets covered with bituminous mastics spread for it to get even better waterproofing.

The mounting of the walls begins with the corner of assembled house. The first panel is installed with a spirt level that holds merely 1-1.5 mm deflection. The end of the second corner panel gets covered with a board or OSB that is connected in a straight angle with the first panel using anodized self- tapping wooden screws, the connection is also finalised with polystyrene foam sealants. The bottom groove of the wall panels is mounted onto connecting beam and secured with self- tapping wooden screws. Between one another SIPs are connected with "pin - groove" join, using a beam that is mounted inside panels. All empty spaces of connections get filled with mounting foam, in order to exclude the development of “cold bridges”. The preciseness of mounting by vertical is checked with measuring spirit level.  After the perimeter of the first floor walls is constructed, technological grooves are filled with foam and covered with connecting boards, analogically to the way it is done on the bottom floor connections. The concealment of the second floor is constructed analogically to the first floor concealment; panels get attached onto the walls of the first floor with long self- tapping screws. The top concealment not only fulfils its direct function but also connects walls between themselves, making the construction extra strong.

Final stage of the house construction gets mounted with one of the standard methods of the SIP technology. The uniqueness of this method is that rafters are not needed; the panels have enough strength to withhold almost any possible pressure (for example-snow). The roof is built by securing a beam, which supports the roof surface, across perimeter of the house. The ridge beam serves as the top base that is secured between roof pediments with screws. The panels are connected between themselves the same way as the wall panels. A roof mounted from SIPs does not need extra viper and heat isolation as that is already provided with the panels themselves. Under the SIP roof there is always a warm attic and to decorate the roof can be used any known materials - metal tiles, flexible or natural tiles – there are no restrictions.

Plumbing and Electrical Insulations

After the frame of the house is complete we mount electrical insulations, water supply and sewerage system. The advantage of mounting plumbing and electrical insulations in a SIP house is that they are external and easily accessible. If it is a one-storey house then water and sewerage can be installed under the floor. Otherwise special shafts can be made, which can be accessed without demounting the whole wall. SIP technology is very flexible for installation of plumbing and electrical insulations. Wooden surfaces that join with water and sewage pipes get treated with antiseptics and water-repellent materials.

Exterior and Interior Decoration

Exterior decoration of a SIP house is no different to known alternatives, when decorating traditional brick house or concrete walls. The SIP house can be decorated with bricks, plastered or painted, finished with siding, natural stone or different kind stone of tiles. There are no restrictions for the use of decorating materials, which is another big SIP advantage. Same deal applies for the interior walls, SIPs create levelled vertical surface that is appropriate for any decoration. Panels can be painted, glued over with wallpaper, fringe with boards or plasterboard; everything just depends on the customer's wishes.
